Obituary for Viola Mae Parks (Layman)

Viola Mae Layman Parks went to be with the Lord on January 6, 2022. She was born June 3rd, 1941, in Hanna, Oklahoma to John Henry “Pat” Layman and Zella Marie (Sims) Layman. She married William “Mac” Parks on December 19, 1965. She was a homemaker and successful business owner. She loved music, crocheting, sewing, drawing, dressing up and being with family. She was a member of the Clarksville Church of Christ.

Viola is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Mac, of 51 years. She is survived by her four daughters: Mittie Greening and husband Bruce of Siloam Springs, Ona Dunlap and husband Bruce of Prairie View, Leah Lee and husband Shannon of Paris, Lydia Reif and husband William of Green Bay, WI. Two brothers: Edgar Layman of Shawnee, OK and Theodore Layman of Hanna, Oklahoma; Two sisters: Maxie Howard and Pattie Ridge both of Hanna, OK; Eight grandchildren: Corbin Greening and wife Kaitlyn, Dillon Linscott and wife Brittany, Darby Crosby, Kelsey Greening, Megan Crosby, Quade Greening, Alexis Highbargin and Lexy Lee; One great-grandson, Rhett Linscott and one honorary grandson Fidelis Wolf as well as a host of dearly loved family and friends.

Special Thanks to her extended family at Johnson County Health and Rehab for their many years of love and care.
She will be greatly missed by her loving family and forever in their hearts.

Visitation is from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Monday, January 10, 2022 at the Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville, Arkansas.

Funeral services are 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Darien Downs and Brother Dudley Slaten officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie View Cemetery in Prairie View, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Bruce Dunlap, Shannon Lee, Corbin Greening, Dillon Linscott, Quade Greening and Vincent Ludwick. Honorary Pallbearers are Rhett Linscott, Bruce Greening, Edgar Layman, Theodore Layman, Charlie Ridge, Ted Layman and Fidelis Wolf.
