Obituary for Robert Leon "Bob" Pitts

Robert Leon "Bob" Pitts was born on September 1, 1940 in the Lone Pine Community in Johnson County, Arkansas to Sherman and Erma Lee Pitts. He passed away on January 5, 2023 in Clarksville, Arkansas at the age of 82. Bob was a member of East Mt. Zion Trinity Baptist Church, worked as a plumber and electrician, owned Advance Pawn, and was a school bus driver.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Erma Lee Pitts; his mother and father-in-law, Earl and Lorene Chesser; his brothers, Hugh Dale Pitts and Murl Don Pitts; his sister, Annetta Schmatjen; his son-in-law, Greg Tumbleson; brother-in-law, Vester Kimbrel; brother-in-law, James Chesser; sister-in-law, Sheila Pitts; his granddaughter, Whitney Nichole Petersen.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy (Chesser) Pitts; his sons, Steve Pitts (Penny); Rodney Pitts (LouAnn); Bobby Pitts (Diana); his daughters, Sandy Avants (Allan Graham); Carla Tumbleson; Deanna Lovell (Don); Misty Krigbaum (Shannon); his brothers, Lloyd Pitts (Rhonda); Randy Pitts (Betty); Neil David Pitts; his sister, Diane Kimbrel; his sisters-in-law, Melba Pitts and Joy Chesser; his 20 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at the Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville, Arkansas.

Funeral Services are 10 a.m., Thursday, January 12, 2023 at East Mt. Zion Trinity Baptist Church in Clarksville, Arkansas with Brother Roy Shook and Brother Frank Shook officiating. Pallbearers are Louie Leeds, Bob Hurley, Homer Qualls, Huie Simpson, Charles Nicklas, Terry Kroft, and Floyd Pledger. Honorary Pallbearers are all of Bob's grandchildren.
