Orval Marion Scott was born on August 6, 1934 in Prescott, Arizona to Marion Scott and Rose Harris Scott. He passed away on September 22, 2022 in Clarksville, Arkansas at the age of 88. He was an Army Veteran, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and he was also a carpenter.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Marion Scott and Rose Harris Scott; his sisters, Marvel Christensen and Sandra Dickson.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Sannar Scott; his sons, Russell Scott and Brad Scott; his daughters, Christina Scott, Linda Silva, Alice Hubbell, and Rose Garrett; his brother, Legrand Scott; his sisters, Patsy Cole, Rhonda Pope, and Dawn Shorey; his 23 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services are 10 a.m., Friday, September 30, 2022 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Clarksville, Arkansas with Bishop Gary Trotter officiating. Burial is at 2 p.m., Friday, September 30, 2022 at the Fort Smith National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Jared Scott, Dallin Scott, Roger Kropf, Andrew Trotter, Seth Schubarth, and Wally Shaw. Honorary Pallbearers are Gregory Barkley, Nicholaus Barkley, Devin Barkley, Avery Barkley, Jonathon Garrett, Erik Scott, Caleb Scott, Scott Silva, Jacob Hubbell, and Trevor Scott.
