Oleta (Ashlock) Scoggins was born on September 18, 1930 in Clarksville, Arkansas to Dennis Denver Ashlock and Fern Adeline (Baxter) Ashlock. She passed away on January 29, 2023 in Clarksville at the age of 92. She was a homemaker and a member of East Mt. Zion Trinity Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Dennis Denver Ashlock and Fern Adeline (Baxter) Ashlock, son-in-law Jackie Young, and brothers-in-law, Alva Houston and Billy Underwood.
She is survived by her husband, Eldon Leroy Scoggins; her son, Bryan Levon Scoggins and wife, Wanda; her daughters, Karen Jane (Scoggins) Young, widow of Jackie Young, Patricia Lynn (Scoggins) Grace and husband, Wade; her sisters, Wanna Aneita (Ashlock) Houston, widow of Alva Houston, Nedra Faye (Ashlock) Underwood, widow of Billy Underwood; her six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 9 a.m. until the service starts at 10 a.m., Friday, February 3, 2023 at East Mt. Zion Trinity Baptist Church in Clarksville, Arkansas.
Funeral Services are at 10 a.m., Friday, February 3, 2023 at East Mt. Zion Trinity Baptist Church with Brother Joe Bagwell officiating. Burial to follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Clarksville, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Ronnie Mefford, Bart English, Jacob Grace, Jared Grace, Blake Kern, Quincy Ashlock, and Heston Ashlock. Honorary Pallbearers are Ken Medeiros, Carl Curtis, Junior Scoggins, Howard Scoggins, Doyle Jordan, Louie Leeds, Monty Watts, Carl Robinson, and Roy Shook.
