Obituary for Nellie Mae Schurg
Nellie Mae Schurg was born on September 19, 1939 in Oark, Arkansas to Adolph and Kezia Schurg. She passed away on February 11, 2023 in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the age of 83. She was a secretary for the Veteran’s Administration.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her parents, Adolph and Kezia Schurg; her sisters, Anna Acord and Elsie Coder; her brother Spencer; nephew Glenn Acord; great-nephews, Chad Acord and her great-niece, Alicia Pitts.
She is survived by her sisters, Lucia Ferguson and Marcet Denniston and her other family members consisting of six nieces, two nephews, and great- and great-great nieces and nephews, many cousins and friends.
A graveside service is at 10 a.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at the Oark Cemetery in Oark, Arkansas with Reverend Amos Pledger officiating. Pallbearers are Cody Jackson, Robert Jackson, Allan Jackson, Jerry Birkhahn, Ashley Birkhahn, and Gunner Jackson.
