Obituary for Josephine Regina Ward (Schreiner)
Josephine Schreiner Ward, 96, of Clarksville died May 8 in Fayetteville, AR. Josephine was born July 7, 1926 to Wendelin and Salome Knoll Schreiner in St. Peter, KS. The family moved to Topeka, KS when she was 14. After her marriage in 1957, she moved to Clarksville, AR where her husband taught at The College of the Ozarks and where Josephine was employed as Assistant Registrar for 30 years, retiring in 1992.
Josephine is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Robert Schreiner, a sister, Mary Hokr, and one daughter, Marian Ward Lewis. She is survived by her son in-law, R. Keith Lewis, three grandsons, Aaron (Michelle) Lewis, Andrew (Dinah) Lewis, and Alex Lewis, seven great grandchildren, Emerson, Lawson, Colter, Caden, Catherine, Colin and Cai Lewis, and two brothers, Andrew and Bill Schreiner.
She was a member of Christian Mothers Society at Holy Redeemer Church, an active member of PEO Chapter Q in Clarksville and enjoyed playing bridge.
A memorial service will be held May 25 at 2:30 P.M. at Holy Redeemer Church in Clarksville, AR with Father Jerome Kodell officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to Holy Redeemer Church or University of the Ozarks.
