Gerald D. Laster was born on January 7, 1926 in Clarksville, Arkansas to Abraham and Mabel King Laster. He passed away on January 25, 2022 in Clarksville at the age of 96. He was a Navy Veteran, a member of Harmony Presbyterian Church, a member of the VFW, former Mason at Mt. Moriah in Anderson, Indiana and he worked for General Motors.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents, Dr. R.E. and Jessie King and James Monroe and Louisa Laster, his daughter, Darice Laster; his brother, David Laster and wife, Edna, his sister-in-law, Reba Laster, and his brother-in-law, Raymond Wyers.
He is survived by his son, David Laster; his daughter, Jeri Laster VanDyne and husband, Bruce; his grandchildren, Jordan, Erik, and Mark VanDyne; his brother, Abe Laster, Jr.; his sister, Juanelle Wyers; and his numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation is from noon until 2 p.m., before the service on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville, Arkansas.
Funeral Services are 2 p.m., Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the Hardwicke Chapel with Reverend Clyde Vire officiating. Burial will follow at Harmony Cemetery in Clarksville, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Jordan VanDyne, Bruce VanDyne, Mark VanDyne, Dale Meek, Donald Meek, Kenneth Nelson, Doug Pfeifler, and Richard McDougal. Honorary Pallbearers are Colin Tahari and Doyle Farmer.
