Evelyn Virginia Carter of Dover, Arkansas was born on May 8, 1943 in Roswell, New Mexico to Jack and Evelyn Compton Whitt. She passed away on February 4, 2022 in Russellville, Arkansas at the age of 78. She was a retired nurse.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Riley Wayne Carter and her son, Michael W. Carter.
She is survived by her son, Steven Carter of Dover, Arkansas; her daughter, Lori Ann Harman of Russellville, Arkansas; 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m., Monday, February 7, 2022 at the Hardwicke Chapel in Clarksville, Arkansas.
A graveside service is at 10 a.m., Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Houston Cemetery in Altus, Arkansas with Brother Billy Carter officiating. Pallbearers are family members.
