Obituary for Dessie May Moye (Laudermilk)

Dessie May (Laudermilk) Moye, 67, was born on October 25, 1955 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Kenneth and Carol Laudermilk. She passed away in Little Rock, Arkansas on January 30, 2023. She was a homemaker and used to teach at Jack & Jill Award Academy for several years. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was family driven and loved to cook for everyone. Her family was what always kept a smile on her face. She met the love of her life 52 years ago with Carl Joe Moye, for which they had been married 47 years. They moved to Arkansas from California in 2005, where they made Arkansas their home.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Keith Laudermilk – brother, Irene Laudermilk – sister, and Emily Stevens – granddaughter.

She is survived by her husband, Carl Joe Moye: Sons, James Cone, Jr. and Kenny (Cori) Cone of California; daughters: LeAnne (Todd) Osterdock, Carolyn (Ed) Mcfee of North Carolina, Sarabeth Schmoker, Myriah Hern of Clarksville; Brothers: Kenneth (Rosanna) Laudermilk, Jr. of California; Sisters: Karen (Bill) Ny, Carla (Kenny) James both of California, Carolyn (William) Cotton, Penny (Gary) Perry, Samantha (Truman) Flaherty all of Clarksville, Arkansas; Sister-in-Law: Mary Laudermilk of Clarksville, Arkansas; 24 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

Visitation is 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Monday, February 6, 2023 at the Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville, Arkansas.

Funeral Services are 10 a.m., Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Clarksville, Arkansas with Seth Schubarth officiating. Burial to follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Clarksville, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Derrick Schmoker, Jeramya Schmoker, Joey Stevens, Carlos Garcia, Christopher Stevens, Quintinn Cotton, Uriah Green, and Gary Perry, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers are James Cone, Jr. and Kenny Cone.
