Obituary for Cheryl Terese Taylor (Laughter)

Cheryl Terese Laughter Taylor, formerly of Memphis, died Aug 30 in Little Rock of hypertensive cardiovascular disease. She was 65. Working in the financial industry for many years, Cheryl also had quite a number of talents. A gifted pianist, she played at many parties and seasonal events in Memphis. She was a skilled gardener, an adventurous cook, an effective seamstress, and a caring helpmate. A lover of animals, especially birds, meant phone calls to Cheryl’s house were sometimes like calling the zoo. Plenty of animal noises and bird calls in the background, all while she cooked and watched murder mysteries. She will be missed by those of us lucky enough to hear her recount great little anecdotes about her encounters around town, all the while punctuated by her delighted laughter. Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, James Douglas Laughter. She’s survived by her mother Patricia Laughter, and brother Michael Laughter. Cremation and burial directed by Hardwicke Funeral Home, Clarksville.
