Obituary for Betty June Zachery
Betty June Zachery, 87, of Coal Hill died Monday, December 26, 2022 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
She was born November 28, 1935, in Hartman, Arkansas, to Porter Lee and Pansy Adeline Hickey Morrow. She grew up with a farming family and would often talk about her days in the fields picking cotton. She also enjoyed her time playing basketball at Hartman. She was a Christian and loved quilting with her lady friends at Fernwood. Her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren were her passion. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John Henry Zachery, the love of her life who she would often talk about reuniting with him, a son Jimmy Lee Huff, granddaughter Deanna Phillips, brothers Willis, Dolen, Carl, Jackey, Otis, Olen, Dempsey and sisters Inez and Patsy.
Survivors are her daughters, Patsy Phillips of California, Barbara Bartlett and husband Don of Coal Hill, Betty Ann Bean and husband Michael of Coal Hill, sons Gary Huff of Missouri, John Zachery and wife Stacey of Clarksville and daughter-in-law Sandra Huff of Ozark. Grandchildren, Joshua, Dustin, Kelly, Brandy, Stephanie, Rachel, Matthew, Debbie, Ashley, Angel, Baileigh and Lerner. Great grandchildren, Kaylee, Madison, Garrett, Jaden, Billy, Michaela, Lexie, Keegan, Logan, Easton, Bryson, Harper and Everly and great-great-grandchildren, Easton and Aspen and a host of nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
