Benny Arlis Pelts of Hartman, Arkansas was born on September 28, 1948 in Clarksville, Arkansas to Arlis Pelts and Esther Pelts. He was of the Church of Christ faith. He passed away on February 14, 2023 in Clarksville, Arkansas at the age of 74.
He is preceded in death by his father and step-mother, Arlis Pelts and Jewel Pelts; his mother, Esther Pelts; his first wife, Sheila Pelts; his son, Travis Pelts; his brother, Ricky Pelts; and his sister, Shirley Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Karren Charlene (Smith) Pelts; his sons, Donnie Pelts and wife, Mandy; Andy Pelts and wife, Stacey; his step-son, Robert Lee Moore; his step-daughter, Terry Lynn Dodge and husband, Mike; his seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Thursday, February 16, 2023 at the Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville, Arkansas.
A graveside service is at 2 p.m., Friday, February 17, 2023 at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Hunt, Arkansas with Brother David Willis officiating. Pallbearers are Eugene Holsteader, Johnny Reynolds, Joseph Reynolds, Sam McClure, David Smith, and Barry Pelts. Honorary Pallbearers are Preston, Logan, Rick, Colton, and Colby Pelts.
